The Troy Bar is home to London’s baddest Friday night Funk & Fusion gig followed by the legendary jam session, which usually carries you through to 3am on a good night.  The house band is there to groove your ass!  Then get fired into some of the Jerk Chicken. You won’t regret it.  I was lucky enough to play with the house band last week.  Here’s a vid and clip from the night. Enjoy!

Here’s a clip from a recent gig I played with singer Zena James and her band at Swindon Jazz Festival.

The band featured Mike Guy (keys) Mike Bradley (drums) and Simon Allen (sax) and the gig took place at the reverberating venue that is the Christ Church.

Zena James is currently playing shows around the UK in support of her latest album “Captivated” which is available on Amazon here, and features top UK bassist Patrick Bettison.

I was up playing at the Stratford Upon Avon Jazz club with the Keiron Garrett Quartet at the weekend.   Keiron’s just finished his debut album and his band’s going to be out promoting it in 2010 at venues like the 606 and Boaters in London.

I haven’t seen any of Mr Garrett’s clips surfacing on YouTube from Sunday yet, so for now here’s a clip of my solo on Kieron’s tune “Beans” from one of our gigs in Jul 2009 featuring top London Tenor player Dave O’Higgins on sax.
